The Queer Horror Fried Lobster Undercover Superstar – Happy Hour – It’s New Orleans
According to horror film maker and Director of the NOLA Horror Film Fest, JT Seaton, the reason gay people love horror is because being trapped in a house with a poltergeist is what it feels like all the time to be gay everyday in regular society.
When it comes to the end of his life, JT’s preferred way to go out is alone on a beach. Till that happens JT is busy cooking up Queer Horror in Fruitland. You can see why a Hollywood guy like JT fits in here in New Orleans: he’s made for the place.
Amy Boyle Collins dream for the end of her life is to be the eccentric old lady who spends all day drinking gin. And not the cheap kind. Till she gets there, Amy is busy at the moment staging Beignet Fest, which is pretty much what it sounds like – a festival devoted to the humble beignet. There are more beignets out there than you can shake a stick at, including the Fried Lobster Beignet. (What kind of a person fries a lobster?) Amy is one of the people who created Wednesdays In the Square in Lafayette Park and she’s 2017 Woman Of The Year! So how about them beignets?
Undercover superstar Jack Miele makes a return trip to Happy Hour! Jack is still working 3 full-time jobs, including playing every weekend of his life in The Molly Ringwalds, running a recording studio where he produces and engineers records, and in his spare time he’s an A&R guy for American Idol, finding talent for the show. Oh, by the way, if you want to run a record company, your dream’s just come true: Jack is looking for you.
