Gal Holiday and the Honky Tonk Revue – Milo’s Music Parlor – It’s New Orleans
Now ten years old, Gal Holiday and the Honky Tonk Revue are one of New Orleans’ longest Americana-Country acts. And they’re still notching up firsts. Here they’re the first ever guests on Milo’s Music Parlor.
Vanessa Nieman grew up with Soundgarden, discovered Patsy Cline (though exactly where remains something of a family mystery), was a jazz vocalist with a decent track record, and then along came New Orleans. Perversely, in the home of funk and the birthplace of jazz, Western swinger-country-crooner Gal Holiday was born. The rest of Gal’s tale is equally unique.
